Apple promotes Undo Send feature in Messages with new ‘R.I.P Leon’ iPhone 14 ad

Apple has released a whimsical new iPhone 14 ad promoting the recently added Undo Send feature in Messages with a new ad titled ‘R.I.P. Leon,’ which highlights the ability for users to recall an iMessage after it has been sent.
The ad, released alongside a second iPhone 14 commercial promoting the device’s new gimbal-like Action mode, which turns shaky video into smooth footage, shows a man messaging a friend to say he appears to have killed his pet lizard as he was looking after it as the animal lays flat on the kitchen counter.
As the man sends the iMessage, the lizard suddenly jumps up, with the man recalling his sent iMessage so that his friend doesn’t see the earlier message in which he mistakenly says the pet has passed away.
How to unsend an iMessage in iOS 16
- After sending the iMessage you wish to unsend, press and hold the message until the popup menu appears
- Tap the Undo Send option and the selected message will be removed from the conversation thread
In the conversation thread, text will appear showing that a message has been deleted from the chat.
