Apple unlikely to release new AirPods Pro or Apple TV 4K in 2023

Apple is unlikely to release updated AirPods Pro or a new Apple TV 4K in 2023, with last year’s upgrades likely to remain available until at least late next year, if previous release schedules are followed this year for the two products.
Apple’s AirPods Pro received their most recent upgrade in late 2023 after being released in October 2019, marking close to three years after the first-generation was released. Similarly, late last year Apple upgraded the Apple TV 4K, and although the gap between the release of the previous generation was much lower than the gap between the release of the second-generation AirPods Pro, Apple isn’t expected to release a new model this year given the substantial upgrade the latest model received in 2022.
As we have seen with the near three year gap between Apple’s AirPods Pro iterations, the earbuds are not upgraded each year like the iPhone, therefor given the history of the lineup mixed with a lack of reports from analysts and the supply chain, it seems fairly unlikely new versions of the earbuds will be released anytime this year.
For the Apple TV 4K, last year’s upgrade saw the set-top-box receive a substantial upgrade, including a performance boost with the A15 Bionic chip, HDR10+ support, and more for a new, more affordable starting price. Given the scale of the improvement over the previous version, it seems unlikely that a next-generation would be on the cards for a release within the next 12 months.
