Apple releases tvOS 16.2 and HomePod software version 16.2

Apple has today released updates for the Apple TV and HomePod, rolling out tvOS 16.2 and HomePod software version 16.2, which brings support for Apple’s new Home architecture and multi-user voice recognition for Siri to the Apple TV.
Unlike iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2, which are also available beginning today, Apple hasn’t shared full release notes for either tvOS 16.2 or HomePod software version 16.2, with the beta cycle for tvOS 16.2 similarly having vague details on what’s new with the updates.
tvOS 16.2 adds support for Apple Music Sing — the new karaoke-like feature for Apple Music with adjustable vocals and real-time lyrics for the 2022 Apple TV 4K.
This story will be updated should any new features be discovered upon installing tvOS 16.2 and HomePod software version 16.2, which are now available to download either via the Settings app on Apple TV, or the Home app on iPhone or iPad for the HomePod.
