Police launch criminal investigation into Apple Store SUV collision after one person killed and at least 16 others injured

It has been confirmed that at least one person has tragically lost their life in a potentially deliberate collision involving a vehicle at Apple Derby Street in Massachusetts, with police now officially beginning an investigation to determine whether the incident was intentional.
According to Boston 25 News, fourteen victims were taken to hospital, while two victims were taken elsewhere for treatment after the collision that happened just after the store opened on Monday.
The driver was not hospitalized and is said to be in police custody.

Emergency services were called to the Apple Store in Massachusetts shortly before 11 a.m. Eastern Time on Monday after a black SUV ploughed through the front of the store’s glass facade, with images showing the vehicle deep inside the store as local news sources reported at the time that at least one person was trapped under the car.
A heavy police presence remains around the area.
