Apple opening new Apple Pacific Centre retail store in Vancouver, Canada next week
Apple has announced that will be opening the doors to a new Apple Store in Vancouver, Canada next week, located on the corner of West Georgia and Howe Streets facing the Vancouver Art Gallery — the largest art museum in Western Canada.
The store, named Apple Pacific Centre, will replace Apple’s existing store inside the nearby Pacific Centre shopping mall, will open on Friday, November 18 and has been under development since 2019, according to a report from the Daily Hive, which cites development permit application for the location.
Apple Pacific Centre will span over two floors with a total floor area of around 14,000 square feet.
To celebrate the grand opening, Apple has commissioned Canadian designer Mooren (Mo) Bofill to create a 30-foot-tall public art mural, with contributions by Musqueam First Nation artist Debra Sparrow, as noted by the Daily Hive. It features 12 playful nods to Apple, including Apple Pencil, AirPods, and Face ID Smile.
