Apple rolls out new ad placements on the App Store

Apple has expanded its App Store Search Ads service with new ad placements on the App Store, now showing users a new “You Might Also Like” section on individual App Store listings to show ads for sponsored apps as well as ads on the Today tab.
Apple’s popular Search Ads service allows developers to pay to show their apps to more users on the App Store. Originally available only in the US, Search Ads has gradually expanded across the world, with analysts suggesting Apple’s advertising business could eclipse $400 billion by 2024. Up from $288 billion in 2021.
“Search Ads is an efficient and easy way to help people discover your app on the App Store,” says Apple. “With new Today tab and product page ad placements, you can drive discovery of your app in more moments across the App Store — when customers first arrive, search for something specific, and browse apps to download.”
For new marketers, Apple is giving a free 100 USD credit to try Apple Search Ads Advanced, the more complex App Store ads service.
