Apple selling new USB-C Woven Charge Cable
Apple announced its long-rumored next-gen iPad Pro on Tuesday, featuring the M2 chip, ProRes video capture, support for Wi-Fi 6E, and more.
Available to order starting today, and in stores beginning Wednesday, October 26, the online Apple Store has revealed that the new device will ship with a special USB-C Woven Charge Cable, similar to that included with the M1 iMac, which is made with a woven design for extra strength and to avoid the cable becoming frayed.
As well as being bundled with the new iPad Pro, Apple’s USB-C Woven Charge Cable is available to purchase separately online, priced at $19.
“This 1-metre charge cable is made with a woven design — with USB-C connectors on both ends — and is ideal for charging, syncing and transferring data between USB-C devices,” says Apple. “Pair the USB-C Woven Charge Cable with a compatible USB-C power adapter to conveniently charge your devices from a power point and take advantage of fast-charging capabilities.”
