iPhone 14 Plus shipping estimate slip for the first time
For the first time since pre-orders for the iPhone 14 Plus went live just under a month ago, shipping estimates for the new 6.7-inch handset have now started to slip ahead of deliveries and in-store pickups beginning on Friday.
Apple announced with the launch of the iPhone 14 that the largest 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus would be held back and released later than the other devices announced last month, likely due to supply constraints and Apple prioritizing the production of the more expensive iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
As noted by The Apple Post, despite pre-orders for the iPhone 14 Plus beginning back in September, until today the new handset was still widely available for launch day delivery on Friday, with Apple.com showing most, if not all, storage configurations and colors for the new devices as available for delivery on October 7.
Now, Apple.com is showing that customers purchasing the iPhone 14 Plus will see between a 1-2 week shipping estimate for new orders.
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus feature a new dual-camera system, Crash Detection, an all-new Emergency SOS via satellite service, and new technologies for improved battery life and performance. – Here’s everything you need to know about the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus
