Reviewers go hands-on with Apple Watch Series 8 ahead of Friday’s release

Like we saw yesterday with the early first-look videos for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro, Apple has given reviewers an early hands-on with the Apple Watch Series 8 ahead of the wearable’s official release on Friday, with YouTubers putting the device through its paces after it was announced last week at Apple’s ‘Far out’ special event.
The Apple Watch Series 8 features a new body temperature sensor, Crash Detection to detect when a user has been involved in a vehicle incident, an all-new low-power mode to offer up to 36 hours of battery performance, the same overall design as the previous Apple Watch Series 7, and more.
Available in-store beginning tomorrow, the Apple Watch Series 8 is available in both aluminum and stainless steel materials, with Apple offering Midnight, Starlight, Silver and (PRODUCT)RED case options for the aluminum models, and Graphite, Silver and Gold finishes for the stainless steel models.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Apple Watch Series 8
The Apple Watch Series 8 starts at $399 (US). As per the previous generation Apple Watch Series 7, the new Apple Watch Series 8 is available in two sizes: 41mm and 45mm.
