Twitter’s new Edit Tweet feature will allow you to edit your tweet up to five times
After confirming last week that it soon will begin testing its long-awaited Edit Tweet feature, which will allow paying Twitter Blue subscribers the ability to tap a button to change the text in tweets after they have been posted, Twitter has confirmed that users will only be allowed to edit their tweets five times within 30 minutes following the post’s publication, reports TechCrunch.
Edited Tweets will appear with an icon, timestamp, and label so it’s clear to readers that the original tweet was been modified. Tapping the label will take viewers to the Tweet’s Edit History, which includes past versions of the tweet.
Twitter announced the new Edit Tweet feature in April, with the company saying today it is intended to give users a chance to add things like fix typos, add missed tags, and more, shortly after a tweet has been shared.
