Apple Watch Series 7 discontinued as new models announced
Apple has removed the Apple Watch Series 7 from the online Apple Store, discontinuing the wearable ahead of pre-orders for the latest-generation Apple Watch Series 8, new Apple Watch SE, and all-new Apple Watch Ultra beginning on today.
The Apple Watch Series 7 was introduced last year, with the wearable now being replaced by the Apple Watch Series 8, which features an all-new body temperature sensor, the same 18-hour battery life as the previous generation Apple Watch Series 7, car crash detection, a new 3-axis gyroscope and high g-force accelerometer, Midnight, Starlight, Silver, and (PRODUCT)RED aluminum finishes, and Silver, Gold and Graphite Stainless Steel models.
Alongside the Apple Watch Series 7, Apple has also finally discontinued the ageing Apple Watch Series 3 after it was introduced almost 5 years ago.
Despite the wearables being discontinued by Apple today, shoppers will likely still find the Apple Watch Series 7 at third-party retailers.
