Apple adds ‘Like’ animation to tweets using #AppleEvent hashtag
Ahead of today’s ‘Far out’ special event, where the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE 2, and all-new “Apple Watch Pro” are expected to be announced, Apple has added a special “Like” animation to tweets that use the #AppleEvent hashtag.
After creating a ‘Far out’ hashflag last week, which adds the event’s artwork to the end of tweets that use the #AppleEvent hashtag, as well as offering to send personalized event reminder tweets to those interested in watching the event live on Apple.com, the update today sees a special Apple logo animation appear when users tap the love heart “Like” icon on Twitter.
The ‘Far out’ special event, which kicks off at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT), will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater and host a live audience of members of the media for the first time since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the event scheduled to last around two hours, likely comprising of on-stage and pre-recorded elements.
