How to see all Lock Screen notifications in iOS 16
Notifications have been redesigned to roll up from the bottom of the display in iOS 16, giving users a clear view of their personalised Lock Screen. When a user unlocks their device, any unopened notifications hide from the Lock Screen, which can be a little confusing at first as it seems they have disappeared before they were even opened.
Thankfully this is not the case, the unopened notifications are still available to view, but it requires a swipe to get them to appear again on the Lock Screen.
In iOS 16, the Notification Center, where all unopened notifications are stored, is hidden from the main Lock Screen. This is to keep the Lock Screen clear to see Widgets and new notifications as they appear.
How to see all Lock Screen notifications in iOS 16
- On the Lock Screen, swipe upwards until you feel a gentle vibration
- Lift your finger from the screen and the Notification Center will appear, showing all unopened notifications
A list of all unopened notifications will appear on screen in date order. The further you scroll, the older the notifications will be.
