Apple responds following Roe v. Wade ruling, saying it covers out-of-state medical care

Apple has responded after the supreme court overturned the landmark Roe vs. Wade, case on Friday, which granted women in the US the right to terminate a pregnancy and now opens the door to allow states to make abortion illegal.
In response to the ruling, leader of Retail + People at Apple, Deirdre O’Brien has shared a short statement from the company on Instagram, saying Apple supports its employees’ right to make their own decisions regarding their reproductive health, revealing that Apple’s medical benefits package allows employees to travel out-of-state for medical care if it is unavailable in their home state.
“At Apple, we support our employees’ rights to make their own decisions regarding their reproductive health. For more than a decade, Apple’s comprehensive benefits have allowed our employees to travel out-of-state for medical care if it is unavailable in their home state,” the statement reads. “Our team’s health and well-being is our highest priority.”
