Next iPad Pro expected to feature M2 chip, wireless charging, and more
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has shared what he expects to see later this year with the next iPad Pro, setting his sights on the device using the recently announced M2 chip, new wireless charging, upgrades to the camera system, and more.
Expected to arrive around September/October, Gurman’s suggestions come amid Display Supply Chain Consultants analyst Ross Young reporting last week that a new, larger 14-inch iPad Pro with a mini-LED display is in development with a launch likely around early 2023, with updated 11-inch and 12.9-inch models also in the pipeline.
In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Gurman doubles down on his previous report that said that he believes that Apple is working on a redesigned iPad Pro featuring wireless charging for the first time. Gurman has said before that his sources claim the company is experimenting with changing the device’s materials to bring them in-line with the iPhone, which has been featuring glass backs in recent years.
