Apple announces iPadOS 16 with new collaboration features, resizable windows, and more

iPadOS 16 has been announced, with all the new features from iOS 16. Weather has also finally been added to the iPad, with a brand new iPad centric design.
iPadOS bring new collaboration features, allowing you to start collaboration easier with apps such as notes or pages, and you can select a messages group straight from the share sheet. You can begin collaboration in FaceTime, messages and more, allowing deeper linking with groups when planning or designing a project. This will be available in iOS and MacOS.
Apple has given a sneak preview of a brand new app called FreeForm, essentially a digital whiteboard that is available with FaceTime, and allows even greater connectivity and collaboration. You can see what the group is doing live, and allows drawing, note taking, audio, web links, images and more.
Metal 3 brings greater enhancements to gaming, and allows games to download large assets in the background. Game Centre profile and a new Game centre board brings greater and deeper metrics to games.
More features within macOS such as undo/redo across the system are arriving in iPadOS. Document menu in files, customisable toolbars within apps and desktop class APIs allow more productivity and desktop like features to come to iPad. Reference mode, allows better control of consistency to colours and more to allow professionals and creatives to have more pro workflows on their iPad. You can increase display scaling to allow apps to expand and show more whilst within multitasking.
Stage Manager on macOS is also coming to iPadOS 16. This allows resizable windows for the first time in iPadOS.
