Apple supplier Foxconn recruiting staff to work on busy iPhone manufacturing lines
Apple’s primary iPhone manufacturing partner Foxconn has started a recruitment drive to hire new staff to assemble this year’s new iPhone lineup as well as to meet the demand for the iPhone 13, by offering sizable bonuses to attract new staff at its Zhengzhou factory in China.
It isn’t uncommon to see Foxconn ramp up hiring as the supplier begins to ready production lines for the launch of Apple’s new iPhone each year; however, this year the company is hiring earlier than usual, signalling that it requires more staff to manage busy production lines for the iPhone 13, which Apple said last week is continuing to see strong demand from customers.
Foxconn is boosting its recruitment bonus by 30%, according to a new report by United Daily News which says because of the continued success of the iPhone 13, Apple and Foxconn want to assure a smooth start to iPhone 14 production later in the year, and therefore are recruiting to ensure enough staff are available to manage iPhone 14 production lines which typically start-up in July.
