Apple reports Q2 2022 financial results, announcing March quarter revenue record of $97.3 billion
Apple has posted its financial results for the second quarter of 2022, reporting a March quarter revenue record of $97.3 billion, up 9 percent year over year, announcing a cash dividend of $0.23 per share of the Company’s common stock, an increase of 5 percent.
The results exceed earlier Wall Street predictions that forecasted the iPhone maker to hit around $93.9 billion, $3.4 billion less than Apple announced today, up from $89.6 billion in the year-ago quarter, and $58.3 billion in 2020.
The results include sales of the all-new Mac Studio and Studio Display, third-generation iPhone SE, fifth-generation iPad Air, and new green iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro, which launched to customers at the beginning of March.
Apple’s board of directors has declared a cash dividend of $0.23 per share of the Company’s common stock, an increase of 5 percent. The dividend is payable on May 12, 2022 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on May 9, 2022. Gross margin for the quarter was 43.7 percent, compared to 42.5 percent in the year-ago quarter.

Apple will live stream a call with CEO Tim Cook and CFO Luca Maestri at 2:00 p.m. PT, with Cook and Maestri taking part in a short question and answer session with investors afterwards, which will also be available to stream live on Apple.com.
