Apple celebrates opening of Apple Myeongdong in South Korea
Apple has celebrated the grand opening of Apple Myeongdong, the iPhone maker’s largest store in South Korea which opened today on Saturday, April 9 in Seoul.
The new store is situated at the base of an all-new tower in the center of the city, occupying the full width of the block over two-levels. The store is staffed by a 220-person store team, offering customers a dedicated Apple Pickup area for online Apple Store orders, a large Today at Apple area and the traditional tables and avenues to experience Apple products and services.
The first set of customers through the large glass Apple Store doors were given special celebratory gift boxes to mark the store’s grand opening, featuring special Apple Store shopping bags with a colorful Apple logo design to mark the store’s special day.
“We are thrilled to deepen our relationship with our Korean customers with the opening of this special store in Myeongdong,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail + People. “Our incredible retail team is ready to welcome the local community, and we invite everyone to find endless inspiration as they explore Apple’s innovative products and services.”
