Apple ups the price of AirPods in India
Apple has quietly upped the price of its AirPods lineup in India, with prices increasing for the third-generation AirPods by around 11 percent to ₹20,500, around a 5 percent increase for the AirPods Pro to ₹26,300 and an increase to the AirPods Max, which are now priced at ₹66,100.
First reported by MacRumors (via their source, Pururaj) on Monday, the price increase appears only to apply to the AirPods lineup, with iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch pricing remaining unchanged, with India appearing to be the only country to see the increase in AirPods pricing so far.
Apple is said to be setting its sights on opening the first official Apple Store in India on August 15, 2022, to mark the country’s 76th Independence Day following the launch of the official online Apple Store to customers in India in 2020.
