iPhone 14 Pro to remove notch for ‘hole and pill’ design

The iPhone 14 is months away, but the rumours have been coming in thick and fast about the new notch design for the device. Recent rumours have now suggested there is a strong possibility the notch will finally be removed completely, to be replaced by a ‘hole punch and pill’ design. It has been rumoured a hole punch design would be adopted this year, but this would be a new design.
Ross Young, an analyst for Display Supply Chain Consultants, today said the design will be similar to the notch, in the fact that it will be unique to Apple. Two holes will provide what the notch does today, with the smaller hole visible, alongside the longer pill shape hole next to it. This is a design not currently seen on phone models.
Samsung and other smartphone makers have used hole punch designs, but for one cut out. The two hole design would be unique, and interesting if it is indeed true. The leaked schematic of the new design was first seen last September, and is said to be used for the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. The camera will be located in the right hand hole, and the Face ID sensors located in the left pill shaped hole.
We now believe Apple will have a hole + pill design on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models. The smaller hole will not be invisible…The two hole concept will be unique to Apple, like the notch, not similar to all the pill models from Huawei…Let's see those new renders pic.twitter.com/Udt8cTKzPZ
