Gurman says iPhone SE 3 and more likely to be announced at Apple Event in either March or April
Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman is out with his weekly “Power On” newsletter, claiming to hear from sources that Apple is planning its first virtual special event of the year for either March or April where the rumored iPhone SE 3 and more will likely be announced.
The star of the event is expected to be Apple’s next-generation iPhone SE which is rumored to be a minor update ahead of a substantial redesign and feature upgrade in 2023. The upcoming device is expected to boast the same iPhone 8-style design as the current-generation model with 5G support with updated internals from the iPhone 13 such as the A15 Bionic chip.
Gurman says that Apple’s iPhone SE 3 launch in either March or April will be followed by WWDC in June. This year’s developer conference is said to likely be online-only as it has been for the past three years, with Gurman saying that it is “near certainty” that Apple will adopt the digital format it has done since the spread of coronavirus for this year’s event.
