Twitter preparing to expand Twitter Blue subscription to the UK, priced at £2.49/month
Twitter appears to be preparing for the expansion of its paid Twitter Blue subscription service to users in the UK, with the App Store now showing a Twitter Blue £2.49/month in-app purchase on the app’s product page and a new Twitter Blue option appearing in the site’s “More” menu on the web for users in the country.
Twitter Blue unlocks additional Twitter features such as the ability to bookmark and undo Tweets, color theme and app icon options, a reader mode, and more. The service first launched to users in Australia and Canada in June, followed by an expansion to the United States and New Zealand in November.
Opening the “More” menu on the web and tapping the new Twitter Blue option presents users with a pop-up screen touting the benefits of Twitter Blue, despite the service not yet being officially available in the UK.
Twitter users in the country have taken to the platform to share screenshots of the new Twitter Blue option on the web and in-app. The social network is yet to make any official announcement on when the service will expand to more users, but it seems fairly clear a rollout across the pond is imminent.
