Apple begins shipping iPhone 13 pre-orders ahead of Friday launch
Apple is beginning to ship the first wave of iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max pre-orders ahead of deliveries beginning on September 24.
Over the weekend customers noted that the online Apple Store had updated to show some pre-orders shifting to the “preparing to ship” stage, which is when the devices begin to be boxed up and processed for dispatch.
Now, some customers in the United States have spotted that the UPS My Choice service is now showing some orders as shipped, with tracking history showing orders as leaving China on their way to customers in the US.
The Apple Store app is continuing to show orders in the “preparing to ship” stage, but clearly, Apple is one step ahead and is beginning to hand over orders to couriers to begin the journey around the world to be ready in-store and for home deliveries on Friday.

UPS My Choice is a free service that alerts recipients whenever a shipper has processed a delivery to their home address. Recipients can track inbound deliveries without a tracking number from the shipper, making it possible for iPhone 13 customers to see their device’s journey without Apple providing tracking information or officially updating order statuses to show orders have been dispatched.
