iPhone 13 pre-orders begin updating to ‘Preparing to Ship’
After pre-orders opened for the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max on Friday, customers are taking to Twitter to show their order statuses beginning to update to show their devices in the “preparing to ship” process.
Deliveries and in-store pickups for the new devices begin on September 24. When an order changes to “preparing to ship,” the order can no longer be canceled and Apple begins boxing up the order and getting it ready for dispatch.
Not all customers who pre-ordered with launch day delivery will likely see their order status change to “preparing to ship” just yet. The statuses change as and when each individual order is processed, so it takes a while for Apple to work through all the orders placed right as the online Apple Store when live on Friday.
