Apple to host separate special event for iPad and Mac, says Gurman
On the eve of Apple’s highly anticipated “California streaming” special event, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman has suggested that Apple is planning a second showcase in the near future to announce new iPads and Macs, pointing to tomorrow’s event being for the iPhone 13 and Apple Watch Series 7 only.
Rumors claim Apple is working on an all-new iPad mini, updated entry-level iPad, and redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, which Gurman said as part of his weekly Power On newsletter on Sunday would be arriving in-store in “the next several weeks.”
Responding to a Tweet asking for clarification on his estimate, Gurman said “There will be two events, and I’d expect the latter to be Mac + iPad. iPhone/Watch Tuesday.”
