Apple to aid Hurricane Ida relief and recovery efforts
Apple CEO Tim Cook has pledged to help Hurricane Ida relief and recovery efforts after thousands were ordered to evacuate over the weekend after a destructive 150mph hurricane battered the state of Louisiana.
In a Tweet on Monday, Cook shared thanks to the first responders on the ground helping keep communities safe, sharing his thoughts to everyone in the hurricane’s path.
Our thoughts are with everyone in Hurricane Ida’s path, especially those sheltering in Louisiana, and we’re grateful for the first responders who are helping keep communities safe. Apple will be donating to relief and recovery efforts on the ground.

Cook’s pledge follows after he announced earlier in the month that Apple would be donating to support the Haiti earthquake recovery efforts after a 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck the Caribbean nation killing at least 304 people.
