Redesigned M1X MacBook Pro models expected to launch by November
It looks like we won’t be waiting much longer for Apple’s rumored new M1X MacBook Pro models, with Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman reporting in this week’s Power On newsletter that we should see the rumored machines launched by November.
Setting his expectations for what we should see from Apple this fall, including the launch of the iPhone 13, Apple Watch Series 7, new AirPods, a redesigned iPad mini, and more, Gurman noted that by the time the current 16-inch Intel MacBook Pro hits its two-year anniversary, we should see Apple launch its new M1X 14-inch and 16-inch models following “hiccups” that have led to the machines launching later than planned.
Rumors have claimed this year’s MacBook Pro update will see the machine get a new “flat-edged” look with added I/O ports, a MagSafe charging port, and mini-LED displays, offering the same quality as OLED but with reduced power consumption.

Gurman reported last month that mini-LED display complications are the cause behind the new machines launching later planned, with Taiwanese supply chain news website DigiTimes claiming last week that mass production is now underway ahead of a launch later this year, with suppliers are expected to ship 600,000-800,000 units during the period from August to November.
