Apple to decrease App Store prices in the UK, South Africa, and all territories that use the Euro
Apple has shared an update with developers noting that in the next few days, prices of apps and in-app purchases will decrease on the App Store in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and all territories that use the Euro currency because of taxes and changes in foreign exchange rates.
In a post to the News and Updates area of its Developer webpage on Tuesday, Apple says pricing of auto-renewable subscriptions will remain unchanged when the price drop comes into effect, adding that App Store pricing will soon increase in Georgia and Tajikistan because of new value-added tax of 18%.
Once the changes go into effect, Apple says the Pricing and Availability section of My Apps will be updated for developers to change the price of their apps and in-app purchases (including auto-renewable subscriptions) at any time.
