Apple makes new Magic Keyboard with Touch ID available to purchase on its own
Apple has made its new Magic Keyboard with Touch ID available as a standalone purchase following its launch with the redesigned 24-inch iMac earlier this year, on sale now through Apple.com and the Apple Store app.
Apple is now selling the Touch ID Magic Keyboards with and without a Numeric Keypad, priced at $149 and $179, respectively.
Unlike the colorful M1 iMac, which comes with color-matching Magic accessories, Apple is only selling the Silver version of the Magic Keyboard at this time.
Magic Keyboard is now available with Touch ID, providing fast, easy, and secure authentication for logins and purchases. Magic Keyboard with Touch ID delivers a remarkably comfortable and precise typing experience. It’s also wireless and rechargeable, with an incredibly long-lasting internal battery that will power your keyboard for about a month or more between charges. It pairs automatically with your Mac, so you can get to work right away. And it includes a woven USB-C to Lightning Cable that lets you pair and charge by connecting to a USB-C port on your Mac.
The new Magic Keyboard with Touch ID is only compatible with M-series Macs, such as the M1 MacBook Air, M1 MacBook Pro, M1 Mac mini and M1 iMac which require macOS 11.4 or later.
The new Magic Keyboard comes bundled with an exclusive woven USB-C to Lightning Cable.
