Apple releases macOS Big Sur 11.5
Apple has released macOS Big Sur 11.5, bringing bug fixes, updates, and minor tweaks ahead of the public launch of macOS Monterey later this year.
Available now in the Software Update section of System Preferences, macOS Big Sur 11.5 sees the Podcasts app Library tab now allow users to choose to see all shows or only followed shows, fixes an issue with the Music app which could cause songs to not update play count and last played dates in the music library, and addresses an issue where smart cards may not work when logging into Macs with the M1 chip.
Today’s update follows the release of iOS 14.7, watchOS 7.6, and tvOS 14.7 on Tuesday, bringing new features and fixes to iPhone, Apple Watch, and Apple TV.
Apple has published a list that describes the security content of macOS Big Sur 11.5 here.
