Help us choose a charity to support
It’s fair to say the past year and a half hasn’t been easy on any of us – from the pandemic sweeping across the globe to wildfires and floods destroying homes and livelihoods, and not to mention pre-pandemic concerns such as climate change, deforestation, and the ongoing fight against cancer.
There’s no quick fix to any of the above, but regardless of what the past 18 months have thrown at us, charities across the globe have continued their work and pushed forward, striving for a better world for all of us.
This year, The Apple Post will be giving back by supporting a charity of your choice. Four charities have been shortlisted out of a long list of deserving causes, and we’re asking you to support our effort by voting below for a cause close to your heart, as well as sharing our campaign to help.
Help us choose a charity to support this month by voting below for a cause close to your heart. 👉 Voting is open until July 24. See more about the chosen charities here: https://t.co/l7dyWsqI7n

(RED) – AIDS
(RED) is on a mission to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. Of the 38 million people living with HIV globally, two-thirds live in sub-Saharan Africa, and this is where (RED) focuses its efforts on HIV prevention, treatment, counseling, testing, and care services.
Every day, 400 babies are born with HIV and 21 countries in Africa account for roughly 90% of all new pediatric infections. With your help, (RED) wants to accelerate the end of AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria as epidemics, helping save lives and providing treatment to those desperately in need.
WWF – Conservation & Wildlife
The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is an international organization that is determined to stop the destruction of nature. From tackling climate change and deforestation to protecting our planet’s iconic animals, WWF strives for a future where people and nature thrive.
Animal populations have declined 68% since 1970 and experts believe there are just 12 years left to limit global warming. WWF is already making big differences but needs support to continue its mission.
Cancer Research UK – Cancer Research
Everyone has been affected by cancer in one form or another. Cancer Research UK – the world’s leading cancer charity – is dedicated to saving lives through scientific research that has helped save millions of lives globally through the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer
Cancer Research UK is the only charity to fund research into more than 200 types of cancer, helping survival rates double and the discovery and development of a number of first-of-their-kind clinically approved cancer drugs used around the world.
Red Cross – Global Coronavirus Appeal
The Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. Working in 188 countries worldwide and with around 13.1 million volunteers, the Red Cross runs towards conflicts, natural disasters, and emergencies to provide care and medical support when others flee.
Especially during the worldwide pandemic, the Red Cross has supported thousands of vulnerable people across the globe, from deploying 46,000 Red Cross staff and volunteers across 550 districts in India to support COVID-19 response efforts, providing vital oxygen supplies, ambulance services, first aid, medical care, and PPE oxygen within Indian communities, to offering support to the elderly or those who are lonely, worried, and finding it difficult to access food or medication.
