Hermès AirTag accessories still unavailable after being pulled from sale in May
Apple is still showing all three AirTag Hermès accessories as either “Currently Unavailable” or “Sold Out” online and through the Apple Store app after seemingly pulling the luxury leather key rings, luggage tags, and bag charms from sale in May over suspected quality control issues.
According to a report from 9to5Mac published when the accessories first went AWOL, a customer who purchased the AirTag Hermès Key Ring practically found their new leather accessory falling apart in their pocket, with Apple marking the Hermès line as “Currently Unavailable” before being able to visit an Apple Store for a replacement.
The Hermès range comprises of the AirTag Hermès Key Ring at $349.00 in Orange, Bleu Indigo, and Fauve, the $449.00 AirTag Hermès Luggage Tag in Fauve, and the AirTag Hermès Bag Charm, priced at $299.00 in Orange, Bleu Indigo, and Fauve.
Apple has not officially confirmed why exactly the accessories are still unavailable, nor has it launched a recall program over the apparent quality control concerns.
