iOS 15 Separation Alerts will notify users when they leave their AirTag, Apple device, or Find My accessory behind
Apple has confirmed that with iOS 15, users will receive new Separation Alerts whenever they leave their AirTag, Apple device, or Find My accessory behind at any unfamiliar location.
Announced today at WWDC, which saw Apple unveil iOS 15 with its new FaceTime upgrades, a new Focus feature, enhanced on-device intelligence, iMessage, Maps, Weather, and Wallet updates, and more, a new Find My Widget is coming to iPhone and iPad, which will allow users to track their belongings at a glance from their device’s Home Screen.
Additionally, the Find My network will now support AirPods Pro and AirPods Max, letting users find their missing AirPods as they would do in the Find My app.
Separation Alerts are welcomed news to AirTag owners. Now, if a user has an AirTag attached to their keys or wallet, they will receive push notifications on their device whenever they become separated, giving users a better chance at locating their missing belongings.
