Apple hosting Spatial Audio ‘special event’ after WWDC tomorrow
Apple is hosting a second “special event” tomorrow, according to a video shared on Apple Music first spotted by MacRumors.
The event is set to focus on Spatial Audio for Apple Music, which Apple announced last month would be coming in an update in June.
Spatial Audio will allow musicians to create immersive audio experiences for their Apple Music listeners with multidimensional sound and clarity powered by Dolby Atmos.
The second “special event” will take place at 12 p.m PT, two hours after Apple kicks off WWDC21 at 10 a.m PT tomorrow, June 7, which is expected to see iOS 15, iPadOS 15, macOS 12, watchOS 8 and tvOS 15 announced ahead of their public launch in fall.
As MacRumors reports, the Spatial Audio event is missing from Apple’s WWDC21 schedule, appearing to slot in between the main WWDC keynote and the Platforms State of the Union at 2 p.m. PDT.
