New iPads to be main focus at ‘Spring Loaded’ event, says Wedbush analysts
New iPads are expected to be the main focus at Apple’s “Spring Loaded” special event, according to Wedbush analysts Daniel Ives and Strecker Backe, who suggested in a note to investors that Apple will finally show its updated iPad Pro, new iPad mini and an updated entry-level iPad on Tuesday.
According to the note, seen by MacRumors, although the focus will be on iPads, we may see “a few surprises” thrown in, which could be a hint that the long-awaited and long-rumoured Apple AirTags making a debut, or possibly updated iMacs with new M-series silicon.
The analysts say the new iPad Pro, expected to get “significant changes” with a new mini-LED display, “A14X” processors and possibly a Thunderbolt port, will have “modest price increases” over the current models, while the entry-level iPad and the iPad mini will see “consistent pricing,” it is said.
Apple is rumored to unveil a new “Podcasts+” subscription service during the event, marking the first time creators will be able to monetize their content through the Apple Podcasts platform.
