Apple’s AirPods 3 leaked in new images, showing redesign earbuds and charging case
Less than two weeks before Apple is rumored to host an event to unveil several new products, including the long-awaited AirTags item trackers and updated iPads, Chinese language blog 52Audio has shared on Friday leaked images of the next-generation “AirPods 3,” once again showing the AirPods Pro-style redesign, which will likely be announced on March 23.
According to the site, the new earbuds will feature the same Apple H1 chip found in the current-generation AirPods. As expected, the AirPods won’t have noise cancellation or transparency mode, with the battery life expected to be the same as the 5 hours of playback found on the entry-level AirPods now.
The wireless charging case is said to be slightly smaller than the case for the AirPods Pro, with the earbuds expected to have a similar universal fit as the current AirPods, without interchangeable ear tips like the Pro model.
The site suggests the third-generation AirPods will be priced around $150. For comparison, Apple’s AirPods with the standard charging case costs $159 in the US, compared to $199 for the AirPods with Wireless Charging Case.
