Apple releasing next iPhone SE in 2022 with 5G, claims Kuo
Respected TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has reported today that Apple’s next iPhone SE will launch in 2022, featuring 5G and an upgraded processor, with all else supposedly very similar to the existing model.
Apple last updated the iPhone SE in April 2020, featuring a 4.7-inch LCD display, Touch ID Home button, A13 Bionic chip, and up to 256GB of storage, priced from $399.
Rumors had pointed to Apple launching a new, larger model in 2021 however, Kuo seemingly today disagrees, saying the next iPhone SE upgrade won’t arrive until the first half of 2022.
Apple will release the new iPhone SE model in 1H22. The exterior design and most specifications are similar to the existing 4.7-inch iPhone SE. The biggest change is to support 5G and processor upgrades.
