iOS 14.5 adds Apple Music lyric sharing
Apple released the second developer beta of its upcoming iOS 14.5 update on Tuesday. The update adds new lyric sharing features to Apple Music, which allow users to share lines of lyrics and audio clips in Messages, as well as the ability to post lyrics to Facebook and Instagram Stories.
As discovered by Federico Viticci of MacStories, the update allows users to long-press individual lines of real-time lyrics when playing to share them in Messages through new iMessage cards, or multiple lines to be posted in social media stories.
When lyrics are shared in Messages, an Apple Music card appears in the chat window, which lets the recipient tap on the card to play the specific part of the song that was shared via iMessage.
You can also select multiple lines of text from the special share lyrics screen and create longer cards for Instagram/iMessage. (Up to 5 lines.) This is really well done. pic.twitter.com/Z8VFOpe6iZ

iOS 14.5 also adds new gestures that allow users to swipe on a song to add it to their “Now Playing” queue or library.
