AirTags shown in supposed leaked pairing video
YouTuber Jon Prosser has shared what he claims to be the final design of Apple’s upcoming AirTags item trackers in a supposed leaked pairing video which offers a full look at the small white trackers, expected to be announced in March.
AirTags have been on the lips of Apple followers for quite some time. The Tile-like trackers are expected to attach to valuables such as wallets, backpacks, keys, and more, allowing users to track their belongings in the Find My app, which is rumored to notify users as soon as they become separated from their valuables, with the exception of when items have been left behind at a pre-defined “Safe Location”, such as at the user’s home or workplace.
In the latest episode of Front Page Tech (FPT), Prosser says the video offers the first “official” look at AirTags.
Prosser suggested in October that Apple was reportedly delaying the launch of AirTags until this year, adding that the devices will be “just a tad larger than a bottle cap,” with Apple set to offer a “keychain that has a little leather pouch on it that you can just slip your AirTag into.”
In his video, Prosser suggests that the reason for the delay in AirTags being announced is COVID-19, and that most people are spending time at home, not requiring an item tracker to locate their personal belongings.
