iPhone Upgrade Program available again in England
Apple is returning the iPhone Upgrade Program to customers in England today after in-store enrolments were paused last month as the country went into a second national lockdown, which left Apple Stores unable to complete the program’s upgrade process and loan agreement.
Apple confirmed the program would be paused ahead of pre-orders for the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max last month, advising customers already enrolled in the program that they would have to either wait for the lockdown in the country to be lifted before upgrading to a new iPhone, or to pay off their loan for their current iPhone on the program and trade that device for money off one of the new iPhone 12 models.
For those who don’t know, the iPhone Upgrade Program is available in the UK and US and allows members to pay installments towards the cost of the latest iPhone, with the option to upgrade each year to a new model, with AppleCare+ included for one monthly fee.
Unlike the US, in the UK, Apple doesn’t accept online credit checks for the program, meaning customers must visit an Apple Store in person to complete their credit check and to exchange their iPhone for the latest model.

Customers already enrolled in the program can now use the Apple Store app to reserve an iPhone for in-store pickup.
