Apple’s new MagSafe Duo Charger doesn’t come with a power adapter in the box
Apple’s new MagSafe Duo Charger is slated to launch any day now, with the accessory recently appearing on the online Apple Store as pre-orders for the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max commenced at the beginning of the month.
The charging accessory, priced at $129, will allow a user to simultaneously charge either their iPhone or AirPods Wireless Charging Case alongside an Apple Watch, on a mat which folds like a clamshell.
Apple notes online that the MagSafe Duo Charger doesn’t actually come with all the parts needed to use it right out of the box, with customers required to purchase a USB-C power adapter to plug the charging mat into power to work.
Apple has discounted the price of its power adapters since the launch of the Apple Watch Series 6 and iPhone 12, which also don’t include the adapters in the box, down from $29 to $19.
There’s no official launch date for the MagSafe Duo Charger yet, but Apple says the accessory is “Coming Soon.”
