Apple confirms iPhone Upgrade Program won’t be available in England until after lockdown
Apple has confirmed that the iPhone Upgrade Program won’t be available in England under the Government’s current lockdown restrictions, which means customers wishing to re-enrol in the program will have to wait until at least early December to do so.
It was initially understood that the iPhone Upgrade Program would continue as part of Apple’s click-and-collect service, which will be available as of tomorrow for customers who place orders online or through the Apple Store app, but ahead of pre-orders for the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max on Friday, Apple has now confirmed otherwise.
“Dear customer,
In the UK, the iPhone Upgrade Programme is only available from an Apple Store. Unfortunately, due to the new government restrictions, we cannot currently operate a full service in England and are therefore unable to invite you to the store at this time to upgrade your iPhone.
If you would like to know more about your options for upgrading, please contact 0800 048 0408 where our teams will gladly assist you.
And of course, if you would rather wait until the restrictions are lifted, we would be delighted to help you with the upgrade in our stores then.”
This means customers who wish to either join or re-enrol in the program will now need to wait until December 2nd when the restrictions are expected to be lifted.
