Apple begins iPhone Upgrade Program pre-approvals in US for iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max
Apple has started iPhone Upgrade Program pre-approvals for customers in the US ahead of pre-orders for the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max on Friday.
The pre-approval screening allows customers to check their eligibility to enroll or re-enroll in the iUP program, which allows customers to spread the cost of their iPhone over 20 monthly payments. After 11 payments, customers have the option to upgrade to the latest iPhone in exchange for trading in their current model.
Pre-approvals are also available now for customers in the UK, but only those who wish to purchase their device on a 0% financing plan and not the iPhone Upgrade Program, which still requires customers to visit an Apple Store in person with a photo ID to complete the in-store credit check.
Apple Store closures could lead to iPhone Upgrade Program customers in England not getting the iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 12 Pro Max until December. https://t.co/JCI79NA1T1 pic.twitter.com/MHDr1iIVqP
