iOS 14 nearly installed on 50% percent of devices, according to adoption tracker
iOS 14 has been installed on almost 50% of compatible devices, according to data shared by Mixpanel, which suggests the latest release is set to overtake iOS 13 to become the most installed iOS release to date.
According to the data, iOS 14 is installed on more than 46.07 percent of devices, just under the 46.57 percent running iOS 13, with around 7% of iPhones still running an older version of iOS.
Apple is yet to share its official iOS 14 adoption statistics, which will offer a clearer insight into the number of users who are running iOS 14 and iPadOS 14, which released just under six weeks ago.
iOS 14 adoption has seemingly slowed since it was released, with earlier reports suggesting the update was installed on over 25% of devices just five days after it was rolled out.
Mixpanel is measuring adoption based on visits to websites and apps that use its mobile analytics SDKs.
iOS 14 has brought the biggest refresh ever to the Home Screen, including redesigned widgets, an App Library that automatically organizes all of a user’s apps into one simple view, several enhancements to Messages, new App Clips, and more.
