Apple pricing AirPods Studio at $350 and $599, not launching at next week’s event as previously rumored
Leaker Jon Prosser has suggested Apple’s rumored new over-ear AirPods Studio headphones won’t be unveiled next week at the highly anticipated “Hi, Speed” iPhone event, tweeting what he claims to be pricing for both variants of the upcoming Beats-style headphones.
According to Prosser, Apple will price the ‘Sport’ version of the AirPods Studio headphones at $350, and the luxury version, featuring a combination of leather and metal, at $599.
A launch date for the headphones is now unknown, but rumors speculate that Apple may host another special event in October for the introduction of new ARM Mac models, which is when Apple could announce its new AirPods Studio lineup.
AirPods Studio 🎧
The renders that I shared last month seem to be the luxury variant — made of leather/metal.
I’m being told they’ll retail for…. $599 😳
There will be another sport-like variant made of cheaper materials for $350.
They WILL NOT be at the October 13 event. https://t.co/awunRlGrD4 pic.twitter.com/le2cfmlC9P

Prosser hinted at the launch of AirPods Studio being delayed earlier in the week, when he claimed sources had reported that mass production would not be complete until October 20th.
Leaked images offered our first glimpse at the new Beats-style headphones last month, allegedly showing the ‘Sport’ variant of the upcoming AirPods, which have supposedly been designed with “fitness-focused” materials to be worn comfortably during workouts.
