Apple begins tweeting ‘Hi, Speed’ iPhone 12 event invites
As we near next week’s highly anticipated “Hi, Speed” special event, expected to see the launch of the iPhone 12, new AirPods Studio over-ear headphones, AirTag item trackers, and more, Apple is tweeting event invites and offering personalized reminders to those interested in watching the stream live next Tuesday on Apple.com.
As it has done previously, Apple invites users on Twitter to tap the Favorite button on its “Good news travels fast” tweet to receive a reminder from the official @Apple Twitter account just before the stream live starts.
Additionally, Apple has created a branded #AppleEvent hashtag on Twitter. The hashtag features the Apple logo in a mix of orange and blue colors, similar to the hidden AR artwork on Apple.com.

The new “Hi, Speed” hashtag is scheduled to disappear on the day of the event next week, suggesting we may see another branded hashtag appear afterward, possibly #iPhone12 or #AirTags with custom graphics.
@TheApplePost You’re all set. We’ll send you a reminder before the #AppleEvent on October 13 at 10 a.m. PDT.
