These are some of the new emojis Apple is releasing with iOS 14.2
Apple has today released the second developer beta of iOS 14.2, which brings 117 new emoji to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
As seen earlier in the year, when Apple previewed a selection of the soon to be released emoji characters on World Emoji Day, iOS 14.2 sees a selection of new arrivals, including emoji for bottle-feeding parents, the transgender flag, a pinched finger gesture, ninja, people hugging, black cat, bison, polar bear, bubble tea, and more
iOS 14.2 is expected to be made available in mid-October when Apple is rumored to announce the iPhone 12.
“Two emojis not seen from Apple until today include Smiling Face with Tear and Disguised Face. This is also the first time Apple’s gender variations for people wearing a Tuxedo or Veil have been seen,” reports Emojipedia. “Prior releases assigned a man to wear the tuxedo and a woman to wear a veil, but these have been reclassified by Unicode as gender neutral emojis in Emoji 13.0, paving the way for consistent options for women or men to wear either, in addition to the default person design.”
Emojipedia shared a video earlier in the year showing mockups of Apple’s new emoji.
iOS 14.2 is expected to be made available in mid-October when Apple is rumored to announce the iPhone 12, with the characters coming to Apple Watch and Mac in future updates.
