Leaked images show new iPhone 12 braided USB-C to Lightning cable
As we near the release of the iPhone 12, which rumors suggest could happen on October 13, leaked images have given us a further look at what Apple’s new braided USB-C to Lightning cable will look like.
Today’s new images, curtesy of leaker “Mr white” follows after Twitter leaker “L0vetodream” shared the first look at the new accessory in July, revealing Apple would bring its braided cable design, seen on the USB-C to Lightning cable that ships with the Mac Pro, to the iPhone.
Braided charging cables are a popular design amongst third-party accessory makers. They typically are more durable than Apple’s own Lightning cables due to the woven exterior that helps prevent tearing and fraying from everyday use.

Rumors suggest the new braided USB-C to Lightning cable will be the only accessory Apple includes in the box of this year’s new iPhone models, with the usual wired EarPods headphones and power adapter said to be cut in an effort to reduce costs.
