Apple rumored to announce iPhone 12 on October 13
Leaker Jon Prosser has earmarked October 13 as when Apple will announce the iPhone 12, following the release of a leaked internal video that showed the CEO of the UK’s largest mobile carrier saying Apple’s upcoming 5G iPhone is “just days away.”
Prosser has gone back to the release roadmap he shared in August, which claims Apple will announce the next-generation iPhone during the week beginning October 12, with the devices expected to be available to pre-order the same week as the event, with the exception of the Pro models which may not ship until November.
While there is no way of confirming Prosser’s dates at this time, Tuesday, October 13 would fit in well with Apple’s usual launch timelines, which typically see events on a Tuesday during the second week of the month.

Apple usually announces new iPhones during the month of September, but this year due to the ongoing global health pandemic, it has been confirmed that devices will be launching ‘a few weeks later’ than previous years.
This year’s new iPhone lineup is expected to prompt a “supercycle” of upgrades. To recap, Apple is expected to release four new iPhone models this fall: a 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 to replace the current iPhone 11, and a 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro/Pro Max.
